    Linda McMahon releases new TV ad 3 days before Republican U.S. Senate convention

    Republican Linda McMahon released a second television ad this week ahead of the Republican nominating convention on May 18. McMahon has already invested $5 million of her own money into her Senate bid this cycle, following the $50 million she spent in 2012. It's unusual for candidates to run television ads this far out from the November election, but McMahon has the funds necessary to dominate the airwaves.

    Poll: Cicilline barely ahead of Gemma

    Incumbent Democratic Congressman David Cicilline holds a slim lead over primary challenger Anthony Gemma. Rep. Cicilline polled at 40%, compared to Gemma's 36%, with 20% of voters undecided. The party primary will take place on September 11th.

    Democratic Governor’s Association buys airtime to hit back at Pat McCrory

    Just days after the RGA launched ads in North Carolina bought airtime to attack Democratic nominee Walter Dalton, the DGA responded in kind. An advocacy group funded by the DGA has bought $217,000 in air time to run ads attacking Republican Pat McCrory in the Triangle and the Triad.
